One of the important departments in the government is Railways.
The department has decided to increase the passenger fare rates by 14.2 percent
and the freight rate by 6.5 percent. This increase in rates is a huge shock to
the common people but the Minister Of the Raliways , D.V Sadananda Gowda says
that this increase in the rates are inevitable. He says that the already the
department is running on a loss of 900 crore a month. He says that this rise
has to be implemented , for it would increase the income of the sector from 7000 crore to 8000 crore annually.
Moreover, the government is considering in bringing the foreign investors and private investors to enhance the
infrastructure and other things.
