An attack that changed the India’s strategy – The hot pursuit in Myanmar

India’s bold attack on Myanmar’s borders and across it clearly showst to all the neighboring nations that India will defend its motherland and its soldiers at any cost. This attack was carried out in retaliation to the June 4 ambush in Manipur’s Chandel district, in which about 20 soldiers died. Many ministers have appreciated the act of Indian Army and government to have taken this step. 

The Myanmar government was informed hours after the commandos had mostly completed surgical strikes. Government sources said the political leadership cleared the cross-border pursuit because it was considered necessary to lift the self-esteem of the Army after it has lost its men in 3 attacks by insurgents and as well as to send across a warning to perpetrators of terror.

According to the reports, the raid was carried out by a team of Commandos with all highly equipped lethal weapons and this operation got over within 35-40 minutes.It has been said that this strike is not a one off strike and Doval, National Security Advisor will be in Myanmar in the next few days to discuss further action against Northeast terror groups.
