The Right to Clearance of Telangana
-Abbhirami
The announcement of the unique policy named Right
to Clearance is something that is highly welcomed in the state of Telangana. The
Right to Clearance Act gives the full authority to know about the status of the
process of clearance and the reason for any delay. This Act will definitely
create a huge difference in the near future.
This Act has the provision to impose a fine of
Rs.1000 on officials for each day if the proposals are delayed. This will be the
same for the stand-by mode project if the appropriate reasons are not given. The
timeframe for the clearances is 15 days for Rs.200 crore projects and a month
for smaller ones. If there are any chances of missing out the deadlines, then
those projects will also be considered.
Wowed, to see a new state coming up with great ideas,
to make the state a complete, full- fledged industrialized one! The idea of
this state has to be appreciated. This kind of move does really create a competition
among the states. Industries will be greatly delighted by this policy.
Something that has to be considered here is that
speeding up clearances must not result in taking a wrong project. And also
every project that is waiting for the clearance must be scrutinized and only be
cleared after that.
