Is it Passion or is it Universities ?
-Abbhirami
It is from my
analysis work, I have tried to figure out answers for the questions that are always in my head.
My analysis was about
the top CEOs’ and founders’ educational background. When went through their
bios., I found that most of the CEOs or founders of the top organizations belong
to either Stanford University or Harvard University. Just look at the list of CEOs I present here
and their educational background.
Organizations CEO Educational Background
Google Sundar Pichai Stanford University
Yahoo Marissa Mayer Stanford University
Facebook Mark Zukerberg Harvard University
HP Meg Whitman Harvard
University
Youtube Susan WojcicKi Harvard University
Here
are the questions that I have in my head - what exactly are the two universities
providing the students? What exactly is their curriculum? How do they educate
students to get them somehow on top of the rest?
Not
just the CEOs but also take a look at the founders of those organizations and
corps.
Organizations Founders EducationalBackground
Google Larry Page, Sergey Brin Stanford University
Yahoo Jerry
Yang, Davis Filo Stanford University
Facebook Mark Zukerberg, Dustin Moskvovitz
Edurado
Saverin, Chris Hughes Harvard University
Andrew McCollum
HP Davis Packcard, William Hewlett Stanford University
Youtube Jawed Karim(one of the founders) Stanford University
Microsoft Bill Gates(one of the
founders) Harvard
College
Look at this!
There is truly something behind this, I feel, I‘m just trying to figure this
out.
So are those who studied or had education at those universities become
creative – minds or those who are really creative and unbeatably excellent get
into those universities? Or is it kind of both? Weird! What exactly is their
approach towards their thinking? But if I say that it is only “those”
universities that provide them the base or the rudimentary things to get going
with their work what about other CEOs and founders who had their education
other than these two universities. So that can't be conclusion. Well,
it can’t be rejected as a whole; of course universities provide certain things
that are completely helpful to students to get to top.
But then you cannot
confine your answers with this. What I feel is that the combination of both the internal
drive and the university- matters. You can put these two factors accordingly, like what I’m here to say is that it is going to be your
internal drive or the passion that grips the position 1 pushing other factors
no matter whatever it is down below.
But I’m still not settled with an answer.
